At Expressions Dance Studio we are committed to providing the best possible dance education in a positive and supportive environment. We ask that parents and students review our policies and please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you!
Expressions is a family studio with students of all ages and wish our older students to be role model to our younger ones. Students should be supportive and complimentary to fellow dancers. Gossiping, profanity, or inappropriate conversations are not allowed at the studio.
Communication with our families is so important to us! Monthly studio newsletters and other important information will be sent out by email and posted on our website at www.expressionsdancequincy.com . Please add expressionsquincy@outlook.com as a contact in your email and let us know if you are not receiving studio updates. Expressions Dance Studio does not carry medical insurance for its students. It is required that all dance students be covered by their own family insurance policies and if injury occurs it is understood that the student's own policy is your only source of reimbursement.
Dance students are placed in classes according to their age, ability, and experience. One or all may apply when placing students in the appropriate dance level. We want all dancers to thrive and grow in their class. Studio owner and instructors have the right to move any dancer to a class that better fits his or her ability. If you have any questions on what class to place your dancer in please contact us and we would love to discuss this with you. Levels are as followed:

We want our dancers to dance their best, and in order to do this, they need to dress their best! Students should come to class in dance attire and with shoes on each week. Please keep hair pulled back and out of your dancers face so it doesn't get in the way. Every one of our dancers deserves individual attention and feedback - in order to do that, we want to focus on their dancing, not distracting clothing. Please no bare midriffs, bra straps, or other undergarments showing. No dance shoes are to be worn outside of the studio. Specific requirements for each class are as follows:

At Expression Dance Studio we feel the opportunity to perform in a recital is an exciting, empowering, and confidence building part of the dance education process. Dancers will learn about theatre, rehearsals and teamwork while they enjoy the opportunity to showcase their skills in a big production! Recital is when dancers can show their hard work and family and friends can share in the pride of their achievement. We love giving all students the chance to perform in front of their family and friends in a supportive environment. Our families will be first to know when recital dates and location are finalized.
**Nutcracker Performances and Recitals are mandatory with the exception of emergencies
Rehearsals give the stars of our show a chance to practice on the big stage! They can overcome some of the jitters that may hit when the lights come on. Rehearsals can be time consuming, but it's also a fun and rewarding experience and is very important to make sure all costumes are properly fit, to practice the all studio number, and be sure our show runs smoothly!
**Dress rehearsals are mandatory with the exception of emergencies
